as someone who has played platformers since i was like 5, i appreciate it when a platformer is so effortlessly tough at its base mechanical level to where my hands are sweating to hit jumps. pseudoregalia is the first 3d platformer to make me struggle in a long time, and its a great game.

video game topsters, no series overlap (disparate series within a franchise OK, ie Paper Mario and Mario Party). not necessarily based on what i think the better game is, just the one that left the most impact on me, according to how i feel right now. roughly in order i suppose

Video game Topsters featuring my top 25 favorite games. In order, they are: Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Team Fortress 2, Cryptmaster, Splatoon 3, Talisman Digital Edition, Paper Mario The Origami King, Webbed, Clone Hero, Keylocker, Chants of Sennaar, The Simpsons Hit & Run, Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning, Mario Party 5, Shadow Warrior 2013, Pseudoregalia, Paladins, Sleeping Dogs, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Storyteller, Marble Mage, RoboQuest, MySims, and BioShock.

It is what you do with those graphics that matters. You can probably count the polygons on Sybil Pseudoregalia's model, but Pseudoregalia still looks great.

I give it 3-5 years until we see a PS1/N64 era nostalgia boom, maybe 2 years if a good trendsetter comes out early. Games like Pseudoregalia, Shipwreck 64, and Nightmare Kart show the skill and desire is floating around.

I love that ever since I played Pseudoregalia, I've been seeing a MASSIVE amount of Sybil cake everywhere. Coincidance, yes but damn am I happy to see it. Beautiful work

one of my recent experiences with this would be the metroidvania pseudoregalia when learning how the different jumps and motions interacted with each other would lead to some cool sequence breaks and new maneuvers.
