Well, I spent my afternoon designing a rackmount system for the pis, the router, and combined power supplies for all of them. Watch this space for pics as I print and assemble all of the bits.
it still pisses me off so incredibly badly that these ikea shelving units my family got like 5 of forever ago just barely doesn't fit 17 inch rackmount equipment. at least one 'unit' in these is like exactly one SFF office pc
I mean it when I say cheap 80's digital reverbs too. From everything I can gather, the Korg DRV-1000 was a budget unit back in its day. And they don't go for much today either (mine was only $100 at a Music Go Round)

Picking up a completely serviced Tascam 238s on Thursday and saying goodbye to my Tascam 244 and 688. The 238 will integrate so much cleaner into my digital mixer and DAW
Oh gosh would it ever. I could also do something like write a bot that listens for reports and runs an immediate inference on the blob in question, labelling it if so. I suspect a decent rackmount would do it. Maybe I'll just rent an 4 vcpu ec2 instance for the next few months...
I *also* need to get off of my ISY994i and move over to Home Assistant, so perhaps I'll consider setting up rackmount pi systems for both
