Well, I spent my afternoon designing a rackmount system for the pis, the router, and combined power supplies for all of them. Watch this space for pics as I print and assemble all of the bits.

A fender Stratacaster on a footstool between two guitar amplifiers, a Peavey Vypyr and a ZT lunch box. The pedals are a Boss tuner, Ibanez DE7 delay, EarthQuaker Special Cranker, Vesta Fire Stereo Chorus which is splitting the signal, a Hotone Verb, a JHS 3 Series overdrive, a Cry Baby GCB-95 and a Bud Box MXR Phase 45, still in box. On the speaker cabinet to the left is a Yamaha E1010 rackmount modulating day.

it still pisses me off so incredibly badly that these ikea shelving units my family got like 5 of forever ago just barely doesn't fit 17 inch rackmount equipment. at least one 'unit' in these is like exactly one SFF office pc

I mean it when I say cheap 80's digital reverbs too. From everything I can gather, the Korg DRV-1000 was a budget unit back in its day. And they don't go for much today either (mine was only $100 at a Music Go Round)

Also need either a very basic rackmount mixer (just to mix a bunch of synths down to 2 channels), or I need to upgrade to a bigger audio interface. I outgrew my 4i4 REAL fast.

I need a rackmount step down transformer for JP to US. I'm not sure such a thing exists. Most people are just like "eh it's fine, it's only a 10V difference" but I don't want to risk it??

Picking up a completely serviced Tascam 238s on Thursday and saying goodbye to my Tascam 244 and 688. The 238 will integrate so much cleaner into my digital mixer and DAW

A Tascam 238s Syncaset, a rackmount 8 track with LED meters on the right and a digital control section in the center

Oh gosh would it ever. I could also do something like write a bot that listens for reports and runs an immediate inference on the blob in question, labelling it if so. I suspect a decent rackmount would do it. Maybe I'll just rent an 4 vcpu ec2 instance for the next few months...

I *also* need to get off of my ISY994i and move over to Home Assistant, so perhaps I'll consider setting up rackmount pi systems for both
