[Food (sushi)] @culturednyc ah it's ok. Restaurant is one among others in a hotel (almost resort type but really just large to cater to conferences). (Ketchup thing was just specific to Chicago though right - lived there so I know how those passions run)
50 minutes from end of service, maybe 1 hour 30 min from actually closing the restaurant, 2 redbulls deep and i'm burnt out bad outside, goin back inside in like 5ish, gonna lock the fuck in and close this damn restaurant so i can see the homies then go the fuck to sleep
This, plus one more thing I'll agree with boomers on If I'm sitting down at your restaurant, give me a god damn physical menu. Hell I'll take a tablet or a kiosk. But don't you DARE expect me to scan a QR code
I would SO much rather live near a restaurant, even a restaurant I didn’t like, than a laundromat.
Then I was underbudget, so I took another bus trip. This time east toward Syria. I got to visit Baalbek (which is really on a scale where pictures do not do it justice) and a winery.
so we move to LA. my father gets a job at the palm restaurant. my uncle junior works there who was a jehovah's witness, believe it or not. he went from catholic to jehovah. so basically, my grandmother wanted us all to switch from catholic to jehovah, you know?
Mary Chung's Szechuan restaurant in Cambridge was always a standout :-)
Right?? I’ll take a restaurant as a neighbor every day versus the person who put 6 Bounce sheets in every load of laundry. Food is one of the least likely substances to set off chemical sensitivities.
So apparently some dipshit (pretty sure I know who) thought making a fake reservation in my name at a restaurant was funny or some stupid crap like that?
DoorDash in my area was/is just awful. One occasion and I believe it the last, when it appeared the delivery driver was at the restaurant for order p/u over 30 minutes, I messaged the driver and inquired if he knew the cause for delay? Response was “hell if I know, you find out”.
