Interesting. In some Paeds units I’ve worked in we have written consent forms for planned transfusions. For a semi-urgent (ie non resuscitation) we would phone to get consent from parents and sign later. Even for Resus we’d given then retrospectively get the form done later for future transfusions.

Thanks! I got vaxxed a little over two weeks ago and am basically asymptomatic so far (in spite of the kid basically deciding to try to incorporate mouth-to-mouth resuscitation into the bedtime routine this week) so fingers crossed

Long, tough day yesterday. My dad's doctors called a family conference, basically to let us know they wouldn't suggest more aggressive or invasive treatments, to discuss what might happen in a resuscitation situation, to discuss hospice or other end of life care, answer any questions we have, etc.
