Lmaooo, my problem with the SBMM in most Activision games is that that shit calculates it over a sample size of your like 5-10 most recent games so it tends to swing really hard and feels fucking awful.
When people tell me SBMM is ruining cod I just think of matches like this where there was no chance we were winning because what seemed like my teams literally not having a brain. they sat in spawn for about 120 points and I started triple capping the enemy and they started moving after i did that.
I used to love FPS pvp. Now it's just horribly balanced SBMM with terrible players stacked against barely good players resulting in one sided bloodbaths that aren't fun for anyone. If it isn't a bloodbath it's a white knuckled grind to victory which leaves you exhausted from the experience.

I find it hilarious that XDefiant marketed itself as a game with no SBMM to hold back better players and it's currently dying a horrible death because all the casuals left lmfao Turns out SBMM actually makes people not want to smash their entire setup then ragequit
Sbmm is the ruin of modern gaming, games have generally improved overtime yet one change saps all of the fun from casual games. It's tiring, it's as if they think that every casual game, every casual mode needs it. It only makes things worse.
that's possible but gold x rank badges (no matter the region) are still an indicator of a certain level of skill and dedication to playing optimally that me getting matched with them shows how little the game cares for SBMM
