The schoolkids got off the bus and the sudden quiet was magnificent. Teachers don't get paid enough, and neither does this bus driver. Teenagers can be an absolute joy, but man are they loud!
christoph: sympathize strongly! once had a project with schoolkids (~12 y) and we wanted to find proof that our earth is not flat but spherical. A suggestion: tie your boat to the harbor pier with a long thin line and set off. If the line stays above water, the earth is flat. otherwise it's not.

There is a schools bus, clearly signed as a schools bus, that goes from my daughter's school to the station. Plenty of other buses go from nearby, this one is just to corral the schoolkids. This one elderly lady takes it almost every day and shouts at the kids for existing.
