I've just been reading some stuff online. There was a BFI screening tonight, they just remastered and added some new special effects. Was one of my favourite shows growing up.
It was a bit of a weird experience to watch it with other people in the room, since I'm so used to being alone with Anne Rice's world IRL. One person has left the screening when Louis started getting close to Armand 🤣 P.S. We don't talk about Antonio Banderas as Armand.
"As a consequence, the dialect prejudice we uncovered might already be affecting AI decisions today, for example when a language model is used in application-screening systems to process background information, which might include social-media text."

Closing out the Brussels International Women’s Film Festival “Elles Tourent / Dames Draaien” with the amazing “Last Birds of Passage (Turna Misali)”. The story of the last families of nomads still maintaining their life in the modernising Turkish countryside. Strong recommend.

Today is the first screening by the Nanaimo International Film Screening Society. You can read about how this new society rose from the ashes of Theatre One's long-running Fringe Flicks fundraiser and what films are playing this fall in my story for The Discourse. thediscourse.ca/nanaimo/nana...
Nanaimo International Film Screening Society rises like ‘a phoenix out of the ashes’ of Theatre One’s longstanding Fringe Flicks screenings.
Frankly organizing a screening of a film you made with two people who broke your heart while doing it is more emotional damage that I anticipated.
