imagine a twitter blue checkmark intellectual wrote and directed a pretentious arthouse screenplay to be released as a Tubi Original and you have Megalopolis. a mashup of Ayn Rand and Caligula, you literally have people quoting Marcus Aurelius to each other in a failed metaphor about Rome. 4/10 boo

This came out so far in advance of the screenplay it was based on that it doesn't even do a tie-in thing, and so a second version of this game with different levels and plot came out once the movie finally did. Next time I see that for $4 used, getting it

The WIld Robot: just as much a meditation on the necessity of community as the plight of parenthood. Screenplay did a ton of good work introducing a lot of tough concepts without flinching. This also may be my favorite animation that Dreamworks has ever done.

We are! In the midst of writing a screenplay currently, many fingers crossed!

Embarrassingly, the chap who wrote the screenplay was British (he went to my school)

I wrote that The Passion of the Christ is Satanic, and I got a flurry of angry responses. One guy said the screenplay was taken verbatim from the Gospels. ā€œOK, but you said it, not me,ā€ I responded.

I mean...yeah, that is the truth, according to Dan O'Bannon and Ron Shussett, who penned the original screenplay which was re-written to add other elements (like Ash) but that point was still kept. (And yes, ALIEN remains one of my favorite movies--it always holds up on every viewing)

This is a very busy poster.

A warm yellow background with a hardcover copy of an open book roughly center, its title ā€œTo KILL A Mockingbirdā€ and on the back cover, ā€œGregory Peckā€. Rising from the pages is the image of Mary Badhamā€™s Scout hugging Peckā€™s Atticus Finch, while Philip Alfordā€™s Jem leans against his father; the family is smiling and clearly loving. Slug at the top reads, ā€œThe rare film story of a father who must expose his children to a small townā€™s outraged passionsā€¦and can only protect them with his love.ā€ A red badge reminds us that the book was a Pulitzer winner and a best seller.

In the lower right, a black disc warns ā€œNot suitable for childrenā€. The credits for the film are listed beneath, with the cast list including John Megna, Ruth White, Paul Fix, Brock Peters, and Frank Overton; the screenplay is by Horton Foote, based on the novel by Harper Lee. Music by Elmer Bernstein, directed by Robert Mulligan, and produced by Alan Pakula.
