Better with new splint. Thanks for asking.

Better since they replaced the cast with a customized splint. 🎉

i don’t have a thumb splint and i don’t have a way to get steroid injections in the area, but it said usually it gets better in 6-12 weeks without surgery, so im just trying not to aggravate it too badly. i’m looking up potential stretches but im not seeing much. (2/2).

so i looked up recommendations for my specific pain: • make sure to not stop using the joint/don’t let it atrophy • topical painkillers and/or tylenol and shit like that • thumb splint doesn’t help recovery but can help pain • steroid injections help pain • gets better on own in weeks-months. Almost 12yo had his first game of the season tonight. Well, his team did. He’s out of his cast and still in a splint for another 10d. Good game. They won 50-48. Gonna be a good season.

Forearm X-ray showing a radial buckle fracture and for the eagle eyed, an ulnar styloid fracture.
Basketball team huddling at the bench. Squeezed out the win. Good first game.

Long story short the skin graft is a loss but that just means I have to change the dressing on my forearm every day and wear a splint

With my arm busted and put in a splint last night, I am totally unable to drive out of city lights to see the northern lights again. I have decided to seek solice at the bottom of a boba tea.

😔 still in my splint I feel like I could be milked and fill a whole damn bucket about now. Things I gotta draw when I'm better.
