#TTRPGTHOUGHTSwww.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/1... When they do things, they get their artists to sign releases allowing the art to be published free to use in small press products. That’s a very generous offer. I have happily (ab)used it. Thank you.

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS#TTRPG? I have decided that one of the best summaries is the game’s character sheet. So I’ve taken to including a completed Pregen PC sheet in the intro chapter of my games.* Does any other game do this? 1/2

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS “All you need to play a TTRPG is pencil, paper, dice and some friends.” Deconstruction (3). Other randomisers are available. But Dice are ubiquitous for many reasons. But which dice though?

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS “All you need to play a TTRPG is pencil, paper, dice and some friends.” Deconstruction (2). Pencil and paper, of course, has now been supplanted by digital devices. I tend to say “something to write with and something to write on.”

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS “All you need to play a TTRPG is pencil, paper, dice and some friends.” Deconstruction (1). I’ve come to realise that I am some sort of neurodivergent. I don’t really have friends.

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS Games should encourage role-playing. One standard way of doing this is to allow Refs to grant benefits (bennies) as a “reward” for good roleplaying. I hate this.

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS#TTRPG designer (rightly or wrongly) you keep a (physical, mental or digital) notebook with scraps in. One of my current scraps is “The Big Red Button TTRPG” 1/2

#TTRPGTHOUGHTS#TTRPG based on the Cthulhu stories of Robert E. Howard? They tend to culminate in rather more “direct” confrontations with the mythology beasties. What other unexplored twist on the Cthulhu myths would you like to see explored in a TTRPG?
