Well that's quite overt racism. Could you tell me which #UnitarianUniversalist#UU#Unitarians#UnitarianUniversalism#UUism#UUA#UUproblems

At least one fairly orthodox Anglican thinkers has, or at least tried to set out the kind of paradigm shift you need for this to work without it collapsing into UUism. (John Bowker, in the third section of 'Is God A Virus')

Legit been wondering all day with fingers crossed for you! At the risk of aging myself and you at the same time, were you LRY or YRUU or did you come into UUism post-young adulthood?

(Also I acknowledge that UUism is NOT WITHOUT ISSUES in the ways it interacts with other religions... but it seems to be the only religion that teaches the basics of all world religions to its children)

I understand—I participated in a neopagan group for awhile, although it was a UU group so like the rest of UUism, specific beliefs were optional. Most of us didn't literally believe in the god(dess)es, it was just the nature aspect of the rituals that resonated with us.

I've been a Unitarian Universalist all my life—I just didn't know it until I was in my 30s. Once I discovered UUism it felt like home; 40 years later I'm still there. UUs are welcoming to all LGBTQIA+ people, as a denomination and individually. (And hey, go ahead and join the choir, it's great!😄)

In addition to things others have said, some large portion of CoE vicars are atheists. I'm a ~lifelong UU, ~lifelong atheist. When I've been active in congregations, I've often phrased the "religious" value of UUism, for me, as prompting care & consideration of big moral questions. 100% sans god.

Tbh this is what I want UUism to be!
