Can we please remember that "Armchair Admirals" are exactly that because they don't have the balls to actually do the job? Stop feeding the trolls by bumping their shit into mainstream news. Anyway. Here's last night's Aurora from sea

A cloudy night sky, with chunks of red, pink, and green showing through the gaps. In the centre of the picture, Ursa Minor is visible against a greyish-green sky. There's a lighthouse visible on the horizon, but I forgot to note which one.

Tha aurora borealis, streaks of reds and greens. In the foreground is the silhouette of feed corn ready for harvest. In the aurora you can barely make out Ursa Major. In the upper right corner is Polaris.

Yup! I saw it for the first time tonight too!! I'm at 41º, north of New York. Snapped this above my house looking north. Ursa minor is just left of the middle of the frame.

The sky in hues of red and green from the aurora, bordered by trees.

My effort. Had to really boost saturation and a bit of contrast, you can see the bears here too #AuroraBorealis
