Indeed...it's quite the death spiral in terms of incentives. I think ranked choice voting might be a way for the GOP to get out of that death spiral and nominate more reasonable candidates, but of course the party activists are adamantly opposed to it.
Democrats can and do scream about all of this, but if no editor, press owner, CEO at a social media company, etc is willing to cover it on the channels they own or force it into an âactivists and critics sayâ frame - why should we say at all that this is a failure of the party?
