i have endometriosis, adenomyosis, and PCOS. having penetrative sex can be painful so one day i took 1.5 mg of klonopin before. 1 mg is my regular dose, .5 mg was my emergency dose — i was within medical guidance — but i got a small high. i stopped sex and called someone in AA to confess my “sin”

Insurance denied the contrast pelvic MRI my surgeon requested to get a better look before we schedule the hysterectomy. Their reasoning, despite my adenomyosis diagnosis listed on the request, is that "you'd only need this MRI if you had a mass or malignancies." Uhh, sure, Jan.

Assuming that someone is still going through diagnosis, my adenomyosis presented very similarly to endometriosis. Might be another angle to investigate.

I hemorrhaged clots every month. Thanks endometriosis, adenomyosis, and fibroids. Premature menopause courtesy of cancer treatments was a bit of a blessing, but I sure wish I had monthly “products” to mail…

Adenomyosis update: sitting in the workroom of the library trying not to scream because my torso feels like knives.

So much solidarity. I'm 45 and was finally taken seriously a few months ago when I saw a new gyno. Turns out I have adenomyosis. It took a quick ultrasound to diagnose. I am livid it took this long. If you can find someone who specializes in hormones (they're usually the menopause doc) try them.

Heh. I had a hysterectomy because by the time endo (and adenomyosis) was diagnosed nothing else would address it. The pain from the surgery was NOTHING compared to the endo/adeno pain, which was sometimes so severe I couldn’t even stand.

Period pain relief Look, I know, it's Monday and nobody gives a shit. But maybe somebody could use this info. So, when I still had my womb, which had endometriosis, adenomyosis, endometrial hyperplasia, and cancer... The only thing that helped the pain was strong Yarrow tea and migraine meds.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, through convoluted means, and the male GP was amazed I'd just coped with it; told him that, amongst my friends, if period pain didn't make you pass out then it wasn't that bad. He was gobsmacked.
