I just love how they say "bring your real self" and make job applicants talk to a chatbot. Especially if they don't have any other option like filling out an online form (or even a PDF that can be printed out and brought to a physical location).
We are still living in what David Cameron hilariously called a 'communist state', only it's one his gov has to pay for. The UI project seems more like a bunch of CV's for prospective applicants for new state jobs, absent the ability to fund it. Like Scottish indyref madness.
I think it’s fine. Especially fine if you have legitimate questions about the department or the specific search. Less fine if you just come across as expressing neediness. There are always more applicants than positions; try not to make people feel awkward.
