The Australasian Horror Writers Association stand with authors against the use of AI covers or AI generated content. While we are aware AI has been used to create covers for Shadows-shortlisted books, this was without the knowledge or consent of the authors. From next year, we will not accept award submissions with known AI generated intervention. If your book cover was created through AI, we strongly suggest you contact your publisher to revise it and seek the assistance of an artist.
