Sometimes you are just lucky enough to find a specimen in its prime. This was the case with this hardwood sulphur shelf. It made for an incredibly delicious creamy lemon Chicken of the Woods risotto. Only one shelf made a whole meal. #FabulousFungi#berkeleyadventures
Fabulous day. Not to mention an epic hawk and raven battle. Families of turkeys and quail. Many bebes. Voles, gophers, and ground squirrels. #BrionesRegional#berkeleyadventures
Some of the house orchids are blooming. These two specimens were rescued after they were tossed in the garbage after being staged for a house viewing. What does it say of our society that we so easily use and discard living organisms? #berkeleyadventures
And a small knock on the front door was one of our many neighborhood raccoons. I did not answer. #BackyardCritters#berkeleyadventures
Last night’s visitors include a doe and her two fawns. Saw her early on in the season and then not for a long while. Glad to see the little family is doing well. #BackyardCritters#berkeleyadventures
I made meringues and they are too much fun. Used natural items to color and that added fun flavors too! The ube and matcha were my faves. #berkeleyadventures
