it's interesting how much political commentary failure is just normal entitled blindspot stuff. people who get the goals wrong are just like "of course the world is how I say. what's going on why is everyone so stupid?" like obviously a lot is hate and malice too, but sooo much is just this.
The blindspot people observing reactionary politics from a US perspective is that the reactions against modernity are a global phenomenon, many countries/societies experiencing reactionary impulses playing out AND it's not just politics & nationalism.
There’s a definite blindspot. Am reminded of @mnemonic.bsky.social article saying it was OK to call them Fascist; however it just doesn’t seem enough now. History shows corporate interests are complicit in this kind of thing just makes me wonder if the journalists/editors even hear themselves?
The Hebrews had many physical messiahs who saved the people. Going to Egypt, leaving Egypt, creating the kingdom, saving the kingdom, warning the kingdom. A spiritual messiah was not on their bingo card when Jesus Christ came. So missing 2nd coming? Hebrews have a blindspot still.
2/If there's a blindspot in science, it's the refusal to acknowledge there may be things that exist outside the realm of the physical - the spirit/soul, if you will. It's hard for me to believe that there's zero purpose for the entirety of existence. I have no idea what that purpose might BE, but...
