Currently sat in the grounds of St Giles', Camberwell, listening to the church bells peal and awaiting tonight's Jazz Live In The Crypt gig from the prog-jazz-funk-tastic Emily Francis Trio :-)

I always love this view, too. The layers of Old Camberwell Cemetery, the old trees and graves and the view onto the skyline, somehow living in harmony 🖤

Now, I’m no ornithologist, but I think this lovely scene I came across in Burgess Park is a goose couple teaching their young goslings to swim in a small puddle before letting them have a go in the lake. I could be wrong; I’m not, as I say, any sort of goosepert. #Camberwell#BurgessPark

20th century: London Transport get so excited about their new projects they put them on the map in advance even for stations that never got built in the end. 21st century: TfL so lackadaisical that it was months after the Elizabeth line opened before I saw a map on a tube platform with it included.20th century: London Transport get so excited about their new projects they put them on the map in advance even for stations that never got built in the end. 21st century: TfL so lackadaisical that it was months after the Elizabeth line opened before I saw a map on a tube platform with it included.

Train destination boards reading TOOTING, ELSTREE and EAST FINCHLEY. Illuminated platform destination baord for Bakerloo line including a partially painted over CAMBERWELL. Sections of the 1949 tube map showing Elstree and Camberwell which were never actually built.
