actually, i kinda just don't want a car that has internet connectivity at all. i've worked for an automotive manufacturer and a thing about working for an automotive manufacturer is that once you learn what CANbus is, you never again want a car to have internet connectivity of any kind
the understanding doesn't have to be anything more than a consistent model, knowing the steering wheel turns the wheels, without knowing how canbus works like i said in a later reply, i think there is a subset of easy to test hard to write code that could benefit from the approach

I think they are, but I'm unfamiliar with the CANBUS additions to the wiring system. Guess I've got some digging in the service manual ahead. (Which is a nice way to spend time, at least)
