Thanks. Yes, more space definitely makes these sort of veg worthwhile. And given carrots, onions, courgettes and spuds are usefully also among the easier veg to grow, why not?! 😊
You've heard me complain about the folks in the area feeding the wild deer causing all sorts of problems from over-population to accidents on the highways & roads. Now the damn hardware store is sell 'deer apples' & 'deer carrots'. I asked them not to. They said that it made a lot of seasonal money.
I can completely understand why growing your own low-cost vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, courgettes, onions and garlic is of no interest to many people. But if cooking the first soup of the autumn having grown everything in the pan makes you happy, then why not?! (I did. It does.) 🍂🌱🍽🍜

got the leftovers back today and the coffee carrots fuck harder than they have any right to. man. those are going in the regular recipe rotation. also the beer bread recipe is hella solid. need to find beers I like with it best, but hey, that’s easy.
