At 1059 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Chatham, or 19 miles west of Munising, moving east at 80 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Munising, Miners Castle, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Chapel Lake, Grand Island, Au Train, Chatham, Shingleton, Laughing Whitefish Falls, Christmas, Forest Lake, Sundell, Cusino Lake, Beaver Lake, Grand Portal Point, Kiva, Diffin, Wetmore, Melstrand, and Eben Junction.

glad i can actually start testing and banging out the brought edges. admittedly... this opening room isn't the greatest layout. it was the first part of the map I drew. I gave myself some leeway, since it's a first impression, it could be more style over functionality.

I'm pondering the buildout cost, logistics, and times for a 1E stronghold my cleric is building. Did you know that 1E AD&D clerics attract on rough average, 90 lay followers and 80 military types? Sure they may work without pay, but you gotta feed them!

When a cleric achieves 8th level (Patriarch or Matriarch) he or she automatically attracts followers if the cleric establishes a place of worship — a building of not less than 2,000 square feet in floor area with an altar, shrine, chapel, etc. These followers are fanatically loyal and serve without pay so long as the cleric does not change deities and/or alignment. These followers number between 20 and 200 (2d10, totaled, and multiplied by 10). In addition, there will be followers who are men-at-arms (q.v.), and your referee will relay the types and numbers at the appropriate time.
Clerics: Roll for each category (all are 0 level men-at-arms). 2-8 heavy cavalry, plate mail & shield; lance, broad sword, and mace 3-12 medium cavalry, chain mail & shield; lance, flail and short sword 5-30 light cavalry, studded leather & shield; light crossbow and pick 5-20 heavy infantry, splint mail; battle axe and long sword 5-30 heavy infantry, chain mail; pole arm* and hand axe 5-30 heavy infantry, ring mail; heavy crossbow and short sword 10-60 light infantry, padded armor & shield; spear and club * Select type or types randomly or assign whichever you desire.
