Bigotry in Latino spaces can have the usual dimensions: classism, colorism, and regionalism. The last one has another layer: discrimination by country of origin. Check those stereotypes!
I was JUST talking about this re:California. People choose classism every time and I hate it. It's a powerful machine, because it divides everyone else into little camps, instead of uniting us into one very large group.

Folks are receptive to eugenics rhetoric when it involves classism. Its an automatic social contract. But bring up infant mortality and being pro choice and suddenly the pro eugenics crowd claim they are pro life.
Classism discourages conscience for better material conditions.
And I'm not just speaking in the context of genocide, colonialism. This goes for classism and all the recent contagion rhetoric that privileged folks have tried to put on wealth redistribution, social mobility, direct aid, mutual aid.

to us this just sounds like the mechanics are curbing min-maxing (a totally valid way to play!!) so we get why this could be frustrating but saying this in the same breath as you're also trying to claim classism is a bit sus
the article does make some decent points about the classism in the noble background that is 100% a fair point if the mechanics are what they say they are aka nobles being inherently smarter than other backgrounds but we still have a hard time totally agreeing... (con't)
