some people would sooner accept the coincidence of truth and falsity before they accepted the continuity of the sexes
And I don't want to be one of those continuity obsessed nerds, but I feel if you're going to do as huge a character motivation change as Megatron suddenly hating beast modes EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE HIS IDEA it needs to be explained somewhere.
Wow, you eve made sure to press the same buttons on the lift! That's continuity dedication right there
yeah. As far as Scott, it's messier to interpret b/c of continuity errors with the chair (he is helped out of the castle without, but the chair is broken with him in the final shot, etc), but esp. as he seems surprised when his legs rise, it seems likely that his 'relief' is different in character.
Disappointment might be the least of your problems if you’re one of the 4000 pensioners possibly dying this winter. You do have to be fucking stupid to imagine this Sunak continuity mob will start pulling rabbits out of the ‘fiscal constraint’ and the paying down the debt mentality. I was introduced to the original series in the 90s but never saw much other than random video store finds. It was great to see the continuity. I don't know much manga/anime but I think Ranma is a great show independent of its genre. I'm happy to see it back on people's radar :)
Adam Sandel (I think the son of the more famous Sandel), commenting on Gadamer's notions of prejudice and tradition, once said that even affirming continuity requires constant creative acts of making that work in each new situation you're applying the tradition to. It's just us doing this stuff
