Crocheted Spumoni Ice Cream Bat and Raspberry Sorbet Bat have joined the party! New bats are made with 2 strands of DK, Marshmallow was with 1. Also went up a hook size for Raspberry Sorbet’s wings, and I like the results.

Tiny crocheter Marshmallow bat on top of a thing, with larger friends Spumoni bat & Raspberry Sorbet bat. Spumoni Ice Cream is pink on top, green in the middle, and chocolate brown on the bottom. Raspberry Sorbet is pink on top, dark pink on the bottom, and the two shades marled together in the middle. They both have black button eyes. Their ears, wings, and feet match, respectively, their top, middle, and bottom colors. They al have W mouths.

I said, “Thank you, I made it!”Then I quickly followed up with, “It’s a hobby!” Because for some reason people think that just because you knit/crochet, you surely must also accept commissions. (I don’t. I’m too slow a knitter/crocheter for it to be profitable for me.)

I almost never buy yarn because I’m the world’s slowest knitter/crocheter, so I’m just marinating in the glory of this purchase. Dream in Color Smooshy mini skeins in … oh, every color.

I made a hat to go with my poncho! It has a hole on top for my inevitable ponytail! I may add a pom pom for fun 🙂 #madebymelissa#crocheter

As a fellow longtime crocheter who is still in beginner knitting levels (took a Learn to Knit class 3 yrs ago, then supplemented with videos and books), I offer some unsolicited thoughts: -Continental vs English will be easier -Knowing how to read crochet patterns helped /1

Before sewing/after sewing the buttons on this handwarmer I made ! I'm fr so bad at sewing stuff, you can clearly see that my button spiral did NOT end up as planned but whatever she's still cute 🥰 🧶 #crochet#crocheter#crochetart#crochetartist#crochetgarment#fiberart#fiberartist#bskyart 🎨

Comparison between 2 pics of a handmade crochet handwarmer in vibrant blue.
On the left : a spiral made of several buttons from different sizes and colours
On the right : the same spiral looking a bit different with all the buttons sewn in

I'd say it is possible to cut the sheets in spiral (like fabric/paper thread). Maybe treat with linen oil first to avoid it reabsorbing water at the first change in humidity. I am a bad crocheter, but will see if I can do something (I *happen* to have pellicle sheets)
