Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES) The underappreciated third entry in the SNES trilogy. DKC3 has more of the fun gameplay of it's predecessors, but also brings a lot of new interesting ideas and gimmicks to the table, most of which hit the mark!
Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES) Rare took an already great game, and improved pretty much EVERYTHING about it. It's overall greater in scope, and certain mechanics from the first game are expanded upon to great effect! A shining example of what a sequel should be, and my favourite game of all time.

21. Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! This is the one that really stuck in my brain as a kid, moreso than 1 and 2. I really loved the overworld navigation, as simplistic as it was. Also all the backdrops are gorgeous. Those water effects, man.
