The whole series could be on here, really, but DKC3 was the best of them. Its foray into non-linearity was exciting stuff at the time, and the platforming is solid as ever. The DKCR series has never quite captured the magic for me.

I always dread reaching "Sea Breeze Cove" in Tropical Freeze, because I confuse it with the generic and dull DKCR area aptly named "Beach", and forget that the former is actually really atmospheric and features the ruins of an ancient Atlantis that harnessed lightning and had mechanical titans. #DKC

Screenshot of Tropical Freeze level "Amiss Abyss" showing a silhouetted Donkey Kong and Dixie Kong swimming through a stylish underwater scene of kelp, anemones, and sunken shipwrecks.
Screenshot of High Tide Ride, showing Donkey Kong riding a minecart into a beautiful aquarium-like ancient corridor with glass windows showing the ocean floor.
Screenshot of Tropical Freeze level "Sea Stack Attack" showing DK and Cranky Kong rolling past some ancient mechanical titans, forgotten and slumbering as their massive bodies are slowly buried in sand.
Screenshot of level "Rockin' Relics" depicting DK and Cranky Kong journey through a thunderstorm, traversing the remains of a large ship, which is clutched in the arms of a giant mechanical titan, that twitches when lightning gives it a brief pulse of power, causing the wreckage to shake violently.

Great! DK64 and DK Racing will definitely be added around the same time the DKCR remaster release next year.

I didn't realize that it really was JUST the 2000's that Nintendo didn't know what to do with Donkey Kong. Like Nov. 22nd, 1999 gave us DK64 and Nov. 21st, 2010 gave us DKCR and according to a skim of the development on Wikipedia, a year of dev time for DKCR sounds like a possible estimate.

Um trailer dele no TGA cairia muito bem mesmo! Depois de Mario&Luigi, Nintendo vai começar o marketing de DKCR? Uma marmita? Tem que já ir trabalhando Metroid 😂

Wouldn’t it also be for the DKCR remake in January?
