Amazon has an author dashboard for indies. So does Draft2Digital. Even Ingram. Amazon pays indies at the end of the month for sales made that month. D2D lags by a month (multiple vendors with different reporting times). Ingram takes 90 days.
right? Draft2Digital, my distributor, ran a survey a few weeks back. They backed out of potential deals. They saw the writing on the wall: Hell NO, we won't prostitute ourselves.

It could be lucrative to go all in on KU -- more page reads means my works rank high and get in front of people willing to spend. Probably more $$ than being non-exclusive and offering my works through Draft2Digital. But for my own sake I still feel it necessary to be available on non-Amazon sites
