Actually, it was DTVA Japan that was responsible for a good chunk of Gargoyles. DTVA Australia only made one episode in season 3 if I'm not mistaken.
I'll never understand why Disney got rid of all of their overseas DTVA divisions in favor of outsourcing their work to third party studios. It's really hard to see modern Disney cartoons with this level of fluidity in the animation.
Got hit w/ a memory of going to CA & being introduced to CN animators because my friend worked there & giving out my silly ass portfolio in what looked like a mix tape 🤣😭 Another friend snuck me into DTVA & I got to run thru that building like it was mf Tomb Raider. I love my friends for humoring me
Me at Disney for erasing and making #HaileysOnIt as dtva “lost media.”
ALT: a cartoon man is sitting in a chair and says i 'm not happy bob .
Yeah, I find it bizarrely fascinating that THIS would be the first DTVA show taken down like that. I can believe it got poor numbers there, but that may be giving Disney too much benefit of the doubt, and I don't think something should be delisted for that alone. Also... fucking ALERT people, man.
Uhhhh i would not say that is the demographic represented in the tech support i get at dtva. I'm all about speaking truth to power, but the trick is it has to be true
Hot take: Disney Channel being the DTVA channel just feels wrong. I’m so used to it being the tween channel (as wrong as that feels) or a perfect mix of both animation and live action like in the mid 2000s and 2019-2021.
I have a question. Why is dtva rejecting original Ip. Molly ostertag said that Disney rejected her show because they don’t want to do original content anymore. Since you know about dtva business. What happened to dtvas originals. Do they only want reboots
What division. Is dtva even greenlighting original shows now. I’m confused because Molly Knox ostertag said Disney doesn’t want original content anymore.
For any of you who may have noticed, I've been coming up with a Batman AU lately, and I've been getting some artists' to help me bring my idea to life. It's essentially DTVA x DC, in which characters from the former will be heroes and villains set in Gotham. (Art credit in reply)
