A civil society org asked me yesterday which private sector firms were delivering the Home Office eVisa system. I dunno. Has anyone out there seen any info? (DMs are probably open)
I dont want to shock anyone, but the Indian eVisa site is broken in several very stupid ways.

Almost all existing residence permits have an expiry date of 31 December 2024, so people will need to make sure they have their eVisa set up or risk being unable to fly back to the UK after that date. Per the latest government guidance to airlines: www.gov.uk/government/p...
Tell this to the UK government that will not be honouring or issuing physical residence permits for my Indefinite Leave to Remain as of 31 December, in favour of the eVisa. You can bet I'll be keeping that card in my wallet even after it expires.

この10分後に、eVisa移行完了の通知がUKVIから無事届きました🎉 途中でネット接続が切れたり犬に邪魔されたりといろいろあったので、まるまる2時間かかりましたよ。やれやれ、です。 これは私を永住させまいと妨害した犯犬(義理イッヌ)。 #犬部#DogsOfBluesky
2日後の今朝、「NTL (ILRのデジタル版)の申請を受理し、永住許可が認められた人物であることを確認しました。」というメールが届きました。 ところが！まだここからやることがたくさんあるのです…… ①ブラウザからUK Visas & Immigration（UKVI）アカウントの設定・登録 ②「UK Immigration: ID Check」アプリをダウンロード ③アプリでパスポートをスキャンし本人確認手続き ④UKVIアカウントからeVisaリクエストフォームを送信 ⬅︎ｲﾏｺｺ そしてeVisa移行完了の通知がUKVIから来るのをドキドキしながら待つわけです。めんどくさ〜！
