Next, here is the rather bigger Unistellar eVscope, peering across the corner of the historic observatory #astronomy
Both are good, and I really like eVscope as well, but think that is is just one step above Seestar (as you can do better science with it!). So it all depends on the user requirements but both do really nice work and lower entry barriers too.
Very nice! If you’ve used an eVscope from Unistellar, do you think it performs about as well? The Seestar price point is quite a bit more friendly for folks I know…
Exoplanets in binary star systems are fascinating. This hot Jupiter type #exoplanet#eVscope#Jupiterscience.nasa.gov/exoplanet-ca...
This was shot with an Odyssey Pro, which gives better images of the Moon and planets than I get with the eVscope 2.
Worthy replacement for the eVscope!
A beautiful clear night last night, the first in ages, so I got the @unistellar #eVscopeyoutu.be/L4gt4dcsPHU?...

Yes that is exactly what our trial is set up to answer, running Sept-Mar! We know smartscopes are absolutely great, but do the kids miss the immersive experience of looking down an eyepiece with the SeeStar? Is the factor of 4 increase in price for an evscope worth it for a 'fake' eyepiece? 🤔
