like i think a lot about how jay said that eurylochus’ “instrument” is the crew’s voices/chorus because his mission is to take care of the 600-strong crew. as his trust in odysseus wanes he decides to demarcate the leader from his men, which gets them all killed. and that’s his ultimate tragedy
the second half of “mutiny” scratches my brain so well… the way it’s a sorrowful reprise of “luck runs out.” the crew once again trying to play on the gods’ good graces, but eurylochus is so hopeless and ashamed from falling for aeolus’ game that he goes ahead and dooms them all a second time anyway
