I mean he apparently also knew some Spanish folksong and knew a couple of Manx words so now I can imagine him as like Sean Connery in Highlander but a mongoose and ripping a bong
enjoy The Movies folksong ♥️
The song’s lyrical structure and inspiration melody is that of the Irish folksong I have been learning to play on my own harp, “Eibhlín á Rún” (Eileen Aroon; I rec. the Clancy Bros. or Gráinne Yeats’ version!), but I have altered the melody semi-significantly I think… Hopefully I can record soon!
This week, we check out a film about an ancient Irish folksong, a kinky giallo, a 1940s "zombie" film, and a nightmarish sf classic of paranoia from the 1950s. As well, we check in with a forthcoming YA weird western as well as Joe Hill’s novella released for last spooky season.
