Removing masking fluid ia about as much of "an experience" as applying it. So for the effect of the haze/fumes/smoke/whateverrrrr I am doinf an underpainting with acrylic gouache. Thia gouache just like acrylic paint will dry permanent but it has a less viscuous texture perfect for what's next.

ammonia - add to hot water and let the steam waft through the house, but leave the house during that treatment, the fumes are not awesome (but unlike smoke, the ammonia stench doesn't stick)

It was packed when I arrived and I didn't see much of anything. Now I am running on fumes and happy to have an empty adjacent gate and wifi I will be back next year and plan on being more of a tourist

He’s gutted. It cost $1 million a year to keep that going, & it helped so many people, but you can’t run on fumes or false promises.
