One specific group, set in the Shield Lands (The Greyhawk wars did not happen in our campaign) has had for no reason I know, a deep stinginess compared to other groups in magic items handed out. One of my characters in a second gen game has a massive hoard of magic items. I don't know why.

This is something I struggle a bit with Mothership. I love when this happens in TTRPGs, but MoSh character creation does very little to help players figure out the relationships between their characters. With the right group and the right GM it happens anyway, but I'd love some mechanical support.
