The Happisburgh Lighthouse, Norfolk. Colours are funky, yet this series all comes from the same roll. Go figure! The joy of expired and light leaked film. Olympus Pen EEs half frame and expired Lucky Super GBR 100 developed @cinestillfilm C41. #believeinfilm#halfframe#35mm#filmphotography

I'll have to dig out my photograph of Happisburgh taken some time in the 90s, showing things on the beach/shore that are now under the sea. #r4today

#Happisburgh church. Notable for its 110 ft tower. Sadly we missed the last tower tour of the year. Maybe next time.

It had one shop (we got a box kite). No pub. No chippy. No amenities on the beach. There was a small caravan park. There was no road running alongside the dunes. And no cliffs. I think it wasnā€™t far from Happisburgh as there was a lighthouse in the distance. I often think of it.

Early morning walkies with Rosie and Casper. #Happisburgh#bordercollies

Two merle coloured border collies on a beach, with blue skies and sea.

We ran away to the seaside today as it was warm and sunny. Happisburgh is eroding at a crazy rate so it is interesting to go regularly and watch the land vanish but on such a nice day a walk on the beach was just the ticket rather than on the cliff path.

White spray from a wave reaching high into the air after hitting a beach defense
The view from the beach slipway. Hazy blue sky, bright blue sea and yellow sand to the left and green grass on the cliff to the right. In the foreground is a bright red life ring
A huge plume of white spray crashing on to the beach after a wave has hit the sea defences
A large white topped green wave behind a red metal beach defence. The white foam from the preceding wave is in the foreground

A few weeks ago, I got these lovely copies of Shuckzine and an extra surprise: the newest bumper issue on Witches before it hit Etsy! I'm excited to read about the Happisburgh torso, a ghost tale my late mum loved. Huge thanks to Shuckzine ā€”this made my day! #shuckzine#witches#norfolkfolklore

Havenā€™t been on here for a while but maybe Iā€™ll post this find on Happisburgh beach with my boy yesterday. Maybe from the Cromer Forest Bed.
