I attended the National Literacy Trustโ€™s #inclusivelibraries conference on Friday. It was inspiring - exploring the importance of celebrating identity, the role libraries play in promoting inclusivity (and where we need to further develop), supporting diverse communities and welcoming new arrivals.

Conference room with speaker, Jeffrey Boakye, talking to the audience about identity.
Conference room with author Nazneen Ahmed Pathak talking about the role of libraries in her life.

I attended the workshop led by a colleague from YLG & the Head of Global Learning London: "Reflecting on equality in the stories we read" about how we can represent all of our community (local and wider) in our library collections, with some fab examples of high quality texts #InclusiveLibraries

Postcard: "What does community mean to you?"
