This month host Ed Moore looks at the JLA/JSA crossover event for 1977 starting with Justice League of America 147 that was out July 1977. leagueofcomicgeeks.com/comic/391081...
JLA: Earth 2 is brilliant and I am also a huge fan of the animated Crisis on Two Earths which serves as a non-canonical bridge between the JL and JLU shows.
I always appreciated how Grant Morrison embraced Kyle and Wally (as well as nonsense such as Electric Superman) seamlessly and even enthusiastically in his run on JLA.
It does not matter what backstory you give someone like Hawkeye, people will laugh about his inclusion in the Avengers. Batman can train in a circus for six months, and people will take his membership in the JLA as a given.
Was Perez on JLA long? I dont have any of these and this looks fantastic
I would have gotten the DC PRESENTS because I'd liked the short-lived FIRESTORM series, and then was happy to see him back in JLA and FLASH. Slowly but surely, I was getting drawn in to the DC universe.
CUSTOMER: "I heard George Lucas was going to direct a JLA VS. AVENGERS movie." ME [remembering how Lucas sold off Star Wars in part because he didn't want to deal with the "fans" anymore]: "That seems unlikely."
Oh wow, those three issues, Crisis In Limbo, are my all time JLA/JSA favourites. Among the very best of JLofA Vol 1.
