I always wondered if when I've silently shared peoples Kickstarters, if it actually contributed to their projects being funded. It's always heartwarming to see when people try and support someone's positive work.
PAX Aus was amazing this year. Honestly my favourite part was checking out the indie board game area, some really cool games with awesome ideas, and a lot of kickstarters to follow now!

That would be consistent too, since they're the minis I gave away with dice the last few years - I just had nicer prints/cutouts for those I had bought from various printers and kickstarters.
The amount of money that changes hands without any indication of 'this is sponsored content' is quite high. Certain retro YouTubers promoting Kickstarters that deserve a Roger Cook style sting.

Sadly I've got to agree with this, the number of DnD splat book Kickstarters I've seen with AI art do the numbers makes it clear than a significant portion of gamers don't care about the issues and just want it to look pretty.
