DA1 really struggles with being like, an immature work, I think. It wants to abandon the clearcut Good/Evil of D&D settings or KotoR, but its ability to conceive of what a more mature world looks like is the most childish trolley problem situations in the world

Cara, eu não sei se eu concordo, eu achei o gameplay de JE mais instigante que o de KOTOR, pelo menos no começo. Eu não fui longe no JE, então pode ser que desabe, mas os diferentes estilos de luta e toda aquela estética menos batida ajudaram de leve. Eu ainda PREFIRO KOTOR, no entanto
esse jogo talvez ocupe um lugar meio ingrato no retrospecto. Na época, a BioWare tava tateando na ideia de trazer o esqueminha CRPG de BG e NWN para as massas e jogo a jogo estavam emburrecendo os sistemas em nome de “streamline” os jogos pra massa. KOTOR acaba sendo um elo perdido nesse lance.
