I find this thread, and the replies, quite terrifying. I'm genuinely surprised that more people don't take issue with these engines of plagiarism and copyright theft. But it seems I'm in the minority. A modern day luddite, who will probably be left behind.

- didn't know what a luddite was (which is fine to mispronounce the WORD, but she said "part of some group" like it's a literal cult - said "franklin d. roosevelt was president" as if she had never heard of him - idk what nixon sounded like, but the actor playing him annoyed the fuck out of me
sadly i started on it and that was HARD cuz I'm a Luddite, but it's increasingly frustrating as with every upgrade they change basic Unix commands (that I had to learn cuz apple kinda sucks that way). i should just switch to unix. fuck it (but i need that in my phone though)

Folks, try to fight it as much as you want, but AI is here to stay. And it's already having real effects on productivity in knowledge work. Don't be an academic Luddite!
