Ah yes, because when in doubt, always channel the spirit of Thatcher. What’s next, comparing maternity leave to being a grocer? 🛒🤦♂️
Oh dear Kemi, hardly anyone agrees with you. Perhaps you should stop suggesting that removing our hard fought for rights is a good idea - especially as you benefited from maternity leave yourself and are as rich as Croesus.

The Conservative party leadership hopeful has claimed that maternity pay is ‘excessive’
Badenoch: "We’ve allowed too many people to portray us as the bad guys." Saying the min wage is too high & killing maternity pay while asking women to "breed for Britain" I can't imagine why. I also remain unconvinced that a 22,000 word essay is the best way to appeal to young people. Try TikTok?

Yeah, but has she solved the Maternity Pay enigma yet?
We had.. Praises for pager bombs. Women should not get maternity payments, stay at home more to pop out babies (she backtracked on that one though)
I feel this a lot with Kemi. She hints at ‘interesting takes’ but always seems to fluff it. Like she wanted to make an argument about too many central regulations … and decided to aim at maternity pay.
You never, EVER, ask a woman when she’s due, or imply that she’s pregnant. She could be standing in a Baby Gap talking about her OB appointment while she wears maternity clothes that look like she’s smuggling a Christmas ham. If you don’t have a notarized document in front of you, assume she’s not.
Went into a charity shop looking for new jeans, woman behind the till said 'maternity is over here'. I'm just fat, lady.
