I did see a story about someone saying they found pieces of an insterstellar metorite that burned up a few years ago, but everyone else is saying they were 100s of miles off cause they used seismic readings that picked up a truck on a nearby road. But I think that's different.
The dust bowl setting adds all this dread, but then when the horror hits, holy shit. It's a good riff on the whole Colour out of Space/Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill metorite bringing alien evil, but damn. Just damn. The use of atmosphere, of dread...absolutely amazing.
