My best guess is programmed nanotech.
For Ironheart especially it felt like they were setting up Riri to build another "mechanical" Iron Man suit after Tony went to the nanotech suits but it ended up just looked like its own action figure. For Ironheart especially it felt like they were setting up Riri to build another "mechanical" Iron Man suit after Tony went to the nanotech suits but it ended up just looked like its own action figure.
Dude, *they’ve* had nanotech since the 90s. youtu.be/bSg-FTja0hk?...

If you took the nanotech out of it, you could convince me that it was just ten years off. Maybe even sooner. I'd completely buy it.
remember when all the sci fi was like "nanotech! nanotech is coming! beware the gray goo!" etc. and here we are and it's like, "the company that designed your fridge software went belly up so now it's a cupboard"
omg what a festering hell hole of morons that place is now Images: A collection of raving batshit posts on smuk's X alleging that hurricane Helene was a conspiracy, made with nanotech - darn that bill gates, a plot to displace voters or just 'overhyped bullshit'omg what a festering hell hole of morons that place is now Images: A collection of raving batshit posts on smuk's X alleging that hurricane Helene was a conspiracy, made with nanotech - darn that bill gates, a plot to displace voters or just 'overhyped bullshit'
So I had this cool nanotech jacket. Had it for a month. Sleeve tore almost clean off (being a desk jockey is more dangerous than you'd think). Mending it took three months, don't ask me why. Got it back. Wore it for a week. Much joy. Other sleeve tore. Round and round we go.
Reminds me of Jeff Carlson's Plague Year, though in his novel the sea-level loving antagonist that forced humanity to the high places was out-of-control nanotech.
In the trailer for Elevation, aliens have trouble hunting humans in hard-to-reach places, which is why humanity has gathered in the Rocky Mountains. You can place your bets now as to how likely "Rocky Mountain High" is in the soundtrack! reactormag.com/elevation-tr...
They don't like to be high up
So if someone said “NZLSOS has demanded an urgent investigation into possible nanotech in the vaccine” it was technically true. But what they weren’t telling you was that it was three non-experts with a dubious source. x.com/medickinson/... 15/
