![Victory Boogie Woogie is the last, unfinished work of the Dutch abstract painter Piet Mondrian, left incomplete when Mondrian died in New York in 1944. He was still working on it three days before dying.
Since 1998 it has been in the collection of the Kunstmuseum, in The Hague. the one time i got to go to a big museum was in london & i was so psyched to see their magrittes (who i love) only to find they’d just rotated out in favor of mondrian’s neoplasticism (which i hate). i just wanted to look at signifiers without signifieds; but that was too much to ask.

So, the problems of medical terminology. Read the pathology report from colonoscopy with some of the removed polyps coming back as “hyperplastic.” Neoplasticism means cancerous, so hyperplastic sent off alarm bells. I don’t have a call yet, but after a little research I’m better. But still…
