I hope the pine martens introduced to Devon know they are supposed to stay in woodland on Dartmoor and not, say, venture off to prey on ground nesting birds, which are already nearly extinct locally now. Strong winds caused the Egyptian Geese nesting in a palm tree in my garden to lose an egg. I've never seen one up close, and laying eggs that size must be an eye-watering experience.
