Back then nurses and teachers were paid to study. They were bonded to stay in their jobs for 3 years, but they were paid what would be around $50k today and they saved hard so they could buy their own home when they married. Modest homes in subdivisions.

I was born in 1960. My school friends mostly married between 1979-1983. They all bought houses when they got married. These were school teachers, nurses, and secretaries who married policemen, tradesmen and teachers. Average salary $20K EACH average house $30k

INDEED It seemed to happen tonight too? Not long after visiting suddenly there’s the evening surgical doctor checking in on her and giving updates, and suddenly the nurses come in and deliver meds…

No, I haven’t gotten up to do anything. Walked around the house a bit with some help. Managed to get myself downstairs and then back up. Mainly sleep, follow up phone calls between nurses and pharmacists, and being groggy.

On reddit there are tons of threads of absolutely pissed off nurses talking about how families frequently smuggle food to pre-op patients. Like the patient has a serious surgery in a few hours, and someone catches em eating a big mac the family brought in.

Can confirm. The immunoglobulin is weight-based dosing, but is more concentrated now than it was in 2016, so even us fatties would have fewer than 8 shots in the butt cheeks now. (I had 2 urgent care nurses on either side of me giving me the shots simultaneously so it only felt like 4.)
