Though, except Geist (despite its own best efforts) and Changeling I couldn't get on with new WoD. Hunter wasn't Hunter, and Werewolf was just Vampire with fur, they both lost everything I loved about the originals

i think modern controls/combat is enough of a reason. i can have fun with the clunkiness of the originals but i think ppl like to think some of SH's dated game design is intentional when it really wasn't

I like them both, though I might have a slight preference for the originals due to familiarity. I think Wilson's mix of Topographic Oceans is an improvement on the original.

I know the feeling, hahaha! XD It'll be worth the wait though, I'm sure ¦D And I'm sure the update to chapter 1 will be worth the time, too, though I don't think I saw anything wrong with the originals =)

I'm still very iffy on the combat direction: I link the originals claustrophobic design to its actual theme of James' phobias closing in on him to excruciating degrees. it's definitely "Upgraded" to meet modern expectations but I'm not sure where my heart lies until I play it myself.
