Frankly I don't know why doctors are so concerned about blood clotting in old age when osteoporosis in older women is such a threat? Like it's such a huge risk factor in old age having a fall and breaking something like a hip. Like "50% chance of mortality within a year or two" risk factor.

24 years of prednisone, which led to osteoporosis, a compression fracture in 2019, and then the broken femur. We went into temporary convalescence together at a retirement home.

Given the risk of discontinued hormones causing osteoporosis (considerable mental health effects aside) i dont really understand how this isnt demonstrable negligence. Like, they have no long term plan other than: we're taking your medication away, away and degenerate.
