Just found out that if you DON'T kill the owlbear so the goblins are still using a chicken for chicken chase you can persuade the chicken to kill all the goblins for you.

This is the same playthrough where we spent three long rests doing nothing to make sure we got the owlbear cub to show up in Act 1 and we didn't miss the little guy... so I think I misjudged how much of a hurry they were in. Blarg.

my nbife played it once out of politeness years ago and came back nearly in tears shouting "what the fuck is an owlbear, i hate owlbears". along with accessibility stuff, i reckon it needs someone who is decent at handholding to not make it miserable to people who are not already nerdpilled.
